“ Obsessed Various hot teas from around the world, which come as 3 servings/steepings. They also have chilled "chill out" sparkling blends (kava, cbd, etc. ). The tea-tender (is that how you say it?) was incredibly knowledgeable about the botanical properties, steeping process and enjoyed explaining the menu. Tried 3 different ones, such a great selection. The setting is comfortable, clean and ambient. So glad to find a café setting that offers a variety of health tonics - including kombucha on tap! ”

“ FINALLY Lansing has a tea experience that is open in the evening! They're currently doing a very soft opening. It's definitely worth stopping in and getting some tea and relaxing in a beautiful space. It's so nice to see a business pay attention to acoustics in their business. It's so comfortable being here. I learned that they specialize in Japanese tea if you're looking for loose leaf tea. It's absolutely delicious and properly brewed. Definitely worth the visit. ”

“ About two years ago I first dropped in to the Rooted Socialite. Doug the owner-operator explained kava to me and gave me a little literature to read about it. I was very skeptical of the drink but after just the first drink I could tell something was working. Normal stress that had built up from work and life in general subsided. Previously, I had consumed cannabis products to help with this but had grown tired of the, well, tiredness that it caused me. Kava, I realized, was giving me the relaxation that I need without rendering me ineffective as a person. Since then I can firmly call myself a regular customer of the Rooted Socialite. I often hang out with a nice core of regulars that is in and out of there. We often talk about travel, general life stories, foreign languages, music, book, etc. it’s one of those places where you’re likely to find people with a wide array of knowledge in many fields. It’s the primary spot where I get intellectual stimulation, all while “winding down” with a few cups of my root drink. Thanks to the Rooted Socialite I have a place that fills a void that once existed for me as a relatively recent transplant to Lansing. I’ve begun preparing kava at home (even though it’s nowhere near the quality at the Rooted Socialite) and incorporated it into my daily routine. It has made the stresses of work and life in general much easier to deal with without being incapacitated. Honestly, I have noticed a greater desire to be more productive since adding it to my daily diet. Five stars from this skeptic turned believer. ”

“ Got acquainted with this business a few weeks ago during a meeting. Great new spot! Loved the atmosphere. Awesome drink options I’ve never tried before. All in all a great round one visit though they have options and items not visible on the menu. So if you go I’d suggest asking all the questions as clarity on these hidden items would have helped me make better choices up front. I’d also suggest doing your homework on the kava before offering if you’ve never tried it before. It’s a very unique experience and one you should know all the angles about before ordering. ”

“ Came here for Kava and was not disappointed. Owner/operator is friendly, approachable, and knowledgeable. He has a lot of regulars that he clearly knows very well. Atmosphere is inviting and chill with plenty of open space. I came in alone so it was nice to have the owner hold conversations with me throughout my visit and be genuinely interested in getting to know me. It’s obvious why there are so many regulars. I’ll definitely be back any time I’m in the area and would absolutely go out of my way to come here and enjoy a relaxing afternoon/evening. ”
